We are excited to announce the return of the 7th Annual Westonwood Ranch Professional Rodeo on March 27 and March 28th. Sanctioned by the Professional Cowboy Association (PCA), PCA's biggest superstars will perform feats of athleticism each night! Nightly featured Cowboy Events: Bareback Riding, Tie Down Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Break-a-way Roping, Ladies Barrel racing, Team Roping, Bull Riding.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Intermediate Crochet Class

You’ve mastered the fundamentals—now let’s make things interesting. Join us while instructor Ashley Paul paves the way for us to step beyond the basics and explore complex stitches and patterns that will stretch your skills and spark your creativity.

In this class, we will learn:

-How to read & follow more intricate patterns

-New complex stitches & techniques (e.g., shell stitch, puff/bobble stitch; front & back post ribbing)

-Seamless color change (mid project)

-Mastering increasing and decreasing

-How to follow a chart pattern

-Take on bigger projects with confidence

We will take all the beginner knowledge you’ve learned and introduce some more complicated

techniques to take your skills to the next level.

The first class we will make clover granny squares, and from there we will take our new skills and learn

how to draft a hexagon granny sweater or other large project of your choosing.

Beginner skills are required for this class

Your own material are recommended:

-yarn of your choosing (recommend bringing a neutral or white/cream color & green yarn for clover

squares)

-multiple size hooks (or hook size to match your yarn choice)

-Yarn needle

-Small scissors (such as sewing scissors)

-Stitch markers are very helpful but not always necessary. They can be a great little tool for beginners

(Bonus materials to have on hand: a ruler or cloth tape measurer)

EVENT DESCRIPTION: The Made in Walton County – Songwriters Showdown, presented by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA), is back—and submissions are now open for local songwriters ready to take the spotlight.

This exciting live showcase celebrates homegrown talent, original music, and the stories behind the songs. Songwriters of all genres are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to perform, connect with an engaged audience, and compete for cash prizes—plus a guaranteed spot in the 2027 30A Songwriters Festival lineup.

From submissions received by the deadline on Friday, February 20, 2026, up to ten finalists will be selected to perform live on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at The Pavilion at Watersound® Town Center. Finalists will each have up to 10 minutes on stage to share their original songs and storytelling in front of a live audience and judges.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: The 2026 Special Olympics Florida Northwest Region Summer Games are coming to Walton County, and volunteers are needed to help make this inspiring event a success. This incredible day brings together athletes, coaches, families, and community members to celebrate determination, sportsmanship, and achievement across a variety of competitive events.

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting athletes and ensuring the games run smoothly. Opportunities are available for event setup as well as assisting with competitions including track and field, basketball, bocce, cheerleading, cycling, soccer, tennis, and awards presentations. Lunch will be provided for Saturday volunteers.

Whether you can help for a few hours or the full day, your time and support will make a meaningful impact and help create an unforgettable experience for these athletes.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: 

Saturdays throughout the year, 9 AM – 1 PM

The outdoor market features dozens of unique vendors offering mostly locally sourced food-based items such as produce, eggs, milk, butter, grass-fed beef, chicken, local honey, pickled vegetables, and gourmet jams. Prepared foods to go include tomato pies, hummus, pasta, tuna dip and crab cakes. Soap and lotions are also sold. The Grand Boulevard Farmers’ Market takes place in Grand Park, between Cantina Laredo and Tommy Bahama.
