Rosemary Beach

 

Rosemary Beach is a charming beachside town. Some say the town got its name from the wild conradina plant, also known as false rosemary, that blooms in the dunes. Many have marveled at the European-inspired architecture and the layout of Rosemary, describing this scenic beach town as the most romantic town in 30A.

 

St. Augustine, Florida, Europe, and the French West Indies influenced the architectural design of Rosemary Beach. Single-family homes, as well as estates with carriage houses, are found here. Many of the homes have balconies, porches, or hidden courtyards. The town features four community pools, a fitness facility, tennis courts, playgrounds, pocket parks, and outdoor art exhibits sprinkled throughout the area.

 

The Town Center is on Main Street and is lined with an impressive selection of shops and restaurants. At the southern end of Rosemary is the Western Green, a large green space that residents can use for leisurely walks or shaded picnics. Some of the town’s festivals are also held here. Western Green overlooks the Gulf and has a gated stairwell that leads directly to the beach. 

 

Rosemary Beach is a master-planned community with interconnected public and residential spaces easily accessible on foot, by bike, or by golf cart. Numerous boardwalks and footpaths line the community, all leading to the Town Center or the beach. Many roads are created so residents see the back of their homes instead of the front, providing more room for sidewalks. Several areas in town also feature bubbling fountains and cobblestone streets, which only adds to the community’s charm and old-world character.

Rosemary Beach’s layout is well thought out, easy to navigate, and exceedingly walkable. This idyllic seaside haven is not far from other 30A neighborhoods, making it easy for locals to attend neighboring events, markets, and festivals.

See and be seen at Pescado Seafood Grill & Rooftop Bar, Rosemary Beach’s premier fine dining establishment. Here, you’ll enjoy first-class cuisine created with fresh and flavorful ingredients in a white tablecloth setting. After dinner, head to the rooftop bar to sip delicious cocktails and soak in incredible ocean views.

 

For a more casual dining experience, visit La Crema. This quaint restaurant impresses guests with its authentic and traditional Spanish cuisine. For a lively ambiance, head to Havana Beach Bar & Grill. It is located in the Pearl Hotel and is said to be inspired by Hemingway’s Havana hangout. 

 

You can always find something to do in Rosemary. The 30A Farmers’ Market is held year-round on Sundays, and guests can attend the market to support local farmers and artisans. Vendor stalls are set up throughout the market, selling various wares and products, such as fresh produce, dairy, honey, homemade baked goods, and more. 

 

Stop by the visually striking The Pearl Hotel and dine at its world-class restaurant. Afterward, take the short walk next door to Rosemary Beach Western Green, where you can enjoy an outdoor concert, or Rosemary Beach itself, the community’s seaside gem.
