The Richards Group  |  October 23, 2026

The short version

Wealth Redefined was a two-day luxury real estate salon on 30A, September 30 to October 1, 2026, hosted by The Richards Group at Compass in partnership with REALM. Advisors from across the country gathered at WaterColor Inn & Resort for a sunrise session on the Gulf, two panels on wellness and wealth, a private gallery hour, and an evening on the beach. The event raised $3,800 for Alaqua Animal Refuge and is featured in the November 2026 issue of VIE Magazine.

"Wealth is not only what you have built. It is what you are able to enjoy, protect, and hand forward."

That line opened the Wealth Redefined program, and it set the tone for everything that followed. Some conversations happen in a conference room. We wanted this one to happen barefoot, over a long lunch, with the Gulf doing most of the talking.

Here is what Wealth Redefined was, who it was for, and what the people in the room talked about.

01

What Was Wealth Redefined?

Wealth Redefined was an invitation-only salon hosted by Allison Richards and The Richards Group at Compass, in partnership with REALM. It ran September 30 and October 1, 2026, with WaterColor Inn & Resort as home base.

The idea behind it was simple. The families our guests advise are asking new questions. Not only what to buy, but how a home supports their health, their time and their legacy. Wealth Redefined brought those questions into one room and gave them two full days.

02

Who Was Wealth Redefined For?

The room was built for advisors who shape where and how significant capital moves. Guests traveled to 30A from Wyoming, Colorado, Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, Texas and California, among other states.

Many were members of REALM, an invitation-only community of luxury real estate professionals united not by brand but by a shared standard of service, discretion and trusted advice. They were joined by leaders in architecture, construction, hospitality and wealth management.

For many guests, it was a first look at 30A. That was part of the point. When advisors know a place firsthand, they can speak to it with authority for the families who ask.

03

The Panels: Wellness and Wealth

The heart of the day was two back-to-back panels at the WaterColor Lakehouse, both moderated by Aaron Colby-Begovich, Director of Member Experience at REALM Global. The first asked what wellness is actually worth. The second asked what wealth is for.

Panel one

Living Well as the Foundation of Wealth

Wellness as an asset, and how it shapes where clients live, build and invest. For a generation of buyers, the question is no longer how large the house is. It is how the house makes them feel at six in the morning.

Geoff Chick

AIA, architect, Geoff Chick & Associates

Chelsea Kmiec

FDN-P, Founder and Principal, Elurai Group

Allison Richards

Principal, The Richards Group at Compass

Panel two

Wealth-Life Balance

Wealth strategy, legacy, and where the two meet lifestyle. A portfolio is a set of decisions about the future. So is a house on the water.

Kristen Comeau

Regional Vice President and Shareholder, Mercer Advisors

Julie Faupel

Founder and CEO, REALM Global

Brandon Youngs

CEO and Co-Founder, Southern Holiday Homes

Julie Faupel and Allison Richards opened the day with remarks before the panels began.

The Day, From Sunrise to Bonfire

Wealth Redefined was designed as a full experience, not a conference schedule.

  1. The welcome cruise. On September 30, guests boarded at Baytowne Marina in Sandestin for a sunset cruise on the bay.
  2. The Sunrise Ritual. On October 1, the day began at 43 Fort Panic in Dune Allen Beach with guided movement at the water's edge and a sound bath overlooking the Gulf.
  3. Breakfast and panels.Guests gathered at the WaterColor Lakehouse for breakfast, opening remarks, both panels and a seated lunch.
  4. The Artist's Hour.Artist Justin Gaffrey opened his Santa Rosa Beach gallery privately and walked guests through the work himself, with wine and cheese.
  5. Dinner and a bonfire on the Gulf. The night closed in Inlet Beach with a champagne toast, dinner by a private chef and a fire on the beach.

Throughout the event, guests supported Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport, one of the Southeast's leading no-kill refuges. Together, the room raised $3,800 for Alaqua.
